Bella Zerillo pitched her "Hugo Everlasting" documentary at the RiverRun International Film Festival's 12th Annual Pitch Fest.

Bella Zerillo, an Electronic Media/Broadcast major in the Department of Communication, represented Appalachian State University at the RiverRun International Film Festival's 12th Annual Pitch Fest: Student Documentary Film Competition on April 22 at Reynolds Place Theatre in Winston Salem, NC. She competed against Elon, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and Wake Forest students.

Pitch Fest gives student filmmakers the opportunity to pitch their documentary idea to a panel of jurors, who provide feedback and award cash prizes to the first and second-place winners. Though Bella's pitch was not one of the two winning pitches, her story, "Hugo Everlasting," was praised by judges for being uplifting and engaging.
